Local Schools Populate CIF-SS Baseball and Softball Playoffs

Baseball and Softball Playoffs

Ranked 2nd in the nation by MaxPreps, the Corona Panthers baseball team leads a large contingent of Southwest Riverside County high school baseball and softball teams into the CIF-SS playoffs. 

As the top seed in Division 1, Corona hosts El Dorado in the first round today, Friday, May 3.

The perennial powerhouse Norco softball team, seeded third in Division 1, opens play next Tuesday at home against the victor of the Great Oak and Torrance wildcard game that was played Thursday after press time.

Other high seeds locally are Menifee Paloma Valley, the #2 seed in Division 2, and Corona Centennial, the top seed in Division 3, both in baseball.
