Complete your DIY Halloween Crafts with Mad Scientist Jars
By Mia Rotell and Lauren Rotell
Welcome to your very own mad scientist’s laboratory, where preserved eyes peer out at trick-or-treaters from glass jars and spiders lurk among peculiar specimens. Repurpose jars into eerie apothecary displays brimming with strange concoctions and curious discoveries — DIY halloween crafts fit for even the most daring scientists.
What You Need
- A jar
- At least two bottles of dish soap
- A pack of fake eyeballs or plastic bugs
How to Make It
Step 1: Open the jar and fill it about one-third full with dish soap.
Step 2: Drop a few fake eyeballs or plastic bugs into the jar. If you need to push them down, use a straw or chopstick.
Step 3: Continue alternating between adding dish soap and dropping in your creepy specimens in small amounts until you achieve your desired look.
Step 4: Once you’re happy with your display, you’re done!
Tip: If you’re using fake eyeballs, poke a hole in the bottom of each one before adding it to the jar. Otherwise, the eyeballs may not sink.
