Seen here throwing in a shutout of Riverside King on April 3 during a dominating senior season, Corona righty Seth Hernandez has prompted Baseball America Magazine to wonder aloud in print whether Hernandez, the top-ranked high school pitcher in the country, might become the top pick in the June major league draft. Hernandez's status was solidified on April 10 by striking out 11 in a complete game, three-hitter 4-1 win over Miami (FL) Columbus, in the prestigious National High School Invitational Tournament in Cary, NC. The Panthers lost their first game the following day on Friday, dropping a 5-0 tilt against Venice (FL) in the semi-finals.
