Man Dead in Menifee Park
MENIFEE (CNS) – Children walking through a Menifee park Wednesday discovered a man dead, though police don’t suspect foul play was involved.
The body of Brian Aguirre, 48, of Menifee was found about 8 a.m. Wednesday in the middle of Wheatfield Park, near the intersection of La Piedra and Menifee roads, according to the Menifee Police Department.
“Based on the preliminary investigation, there are no indications of foul play,” agency spokesman Chase Coburn said.
He said Aguirre may have died by his own hand. However, the investigation was ongoing.
Volunteers from the city’s Trauma Intervention Program were summoned to speak with the youths and provide “emotional support,” according to Coburn.
Anyone with information relevant to the investigation was asked to contact the police department at 951-723-1500.
