Two Arrested for Allegedly Illegally Dumping Items in Perris

LAKE MATTHEWS (CNS) – Two people were arrested on suspicion of illegally dumping concrete and debris from two dump trucks in Lake Matthews, authorities said.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Lake Mathews station responded to the area of Lake Matthews Road and Estelle Mountain shortly before 10 p.m. Friday regarding two dump trucks illegally dumping items near the area, according to the sheriff’s department.

According to sheriff’s Lt. Albert Martinez, deputies located the trucks and conducted an enforcement stop, where they identified the two drivers as suspects.

Delfino Cervantes, 32, and Marcelo Lozada, 24, of Santa Ana were arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside Saturday morning.

No background information on Cervantes was immediately available. Cervantes’ bail was set at $5,000.

Deputies were working with code enforcement to remove the concrete and debris from the site, Martinez said.
