Foster Children
Riverside County expects 6,000 children to spend time in foster care this year. And they need your help.
Across the county foster children have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
Voices for Children, the nonprofit organisation that provides volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs), has put out an urgent call for volunteers in the Menifee and Perris areas.
CASA volunteers advocate for youth in school, court, and medical settings, ensuring the child’s needs are met. Volunteers spend at least 10 hours a month with their foster child, going on fun adventures, attending meetings, and filling out court documents.
“If you are looking for a way to make an immediate impact and give back to your community right now, I cannot think of a better way to do so than by becoming a CASA volunteer,” said Voices for Children’s President & CEO Jessica Muñoz, Esq., MFS. “Our incredible volunteers have made a major difference for local children right here in our community, just by showing up as they are, listening to them, and being a consistent adult presence in their lives.”
