Perris Man Arrested

PERRIS (CNS) – Riverside County sheriff’s deputies arresting a Perris man for suspicion of selling fentanyl and other narcotics found a 12-year-old child when they raided his home, authorities said Saturday.

A weekslong narcotics sales probe was capped Friday with the arrest of 43-year-old Miguel Angel Lopez, said Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Kamal Kabbara.

“Deputies then served a search warrant at Lopez’s residence in the 1000 block of Ruby Road in Perris,” Kabbara said. “They located and seized hundreds of multicolor fentanyl pills, fentanyl powder, methamphetamine and thousands of dollars in cash.” Deputies also seized ballistic panels, ammunition and a collapsible baton.

They also discovered a 12-year-old child alone near where the narcotics were located, he said. The child was placed in the care of a relative.

Lopez was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta for suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale, transportation of a controlled substance, child endangerment, felon in possession of ammunition, felon in possession of a collapsible baton, probation violation and a felony warrant for possessing a controlled substance for sale, Kabbara said. He was held on $350,000 bail, according to sheriff’s inmate records.
