Spicy Cucumber Salad
Hi, my name is Connor, and I am a cucmber-o-holic. In particular my addiction lies in the form of a salad. Cucumber* salads make me weak in the knees. The crunch, the little pop, the subtle flavor, the whole experience.
I love tweaking my favorite cucumber salad, the sunomono salad. So this salad is a bit of a variation on my go to, adding spiciness, and a few extra ingredients to make it stand out.
This will be working its way into my rotation right quick.
Ingredients
- 1 cucumber cut and half with seeds scooped out
- ¼ onion (any kind) sliced into half moons
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- ½ tbsp sesame oil
- ½ tbsp soy sauce
- 1 cayenne pepper diced (can sub ¼ – ½ tbsp cayenne powder or other pepper)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
To Make
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and mix. EAT!
