Feather Alert

SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A two county Feather Alert has been issued for a 16- year-old girl who was reported missing in Murrietta.

Keira Trujillo was last seen at approximately 4:32 p.m. Thursday, October 17 near Scott Road and Antelope Road, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

Keira, affiliated with the Pala Indian Reservation, is 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 110 pounds, has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black leggings, black Converse sneakers and a red backpack. Authorities say she is believed to be on foot. 

Anyone who sees Keira or knows of her whereabouts was asked to call 911.

The alert was issued for Riverside and San Diego counties.

The Feather Alert program was introduced through Assembly Bill 1314 and became law in 2022. Feather Alerts allows the CHP to  issue and coordinate alerts involving  the suspicious or unexplainable disappearance of an indigenous woman or indigenous person.
