Person Rescued by Helicopter
PERRIS (CNS) – A person was rescued by a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department helicopter after suffering an unspecified injury on a Lake Perris bike trail.
The incident was reported at 3:13 p.m. Wednesday just northwest of Lakeview Hotsprings, according to the fire department.
The person was located in an inaccessible area of the trail, and had to be hoisted and flown by helicopter to a nearby landing zone, then taken to a nearby hospital by ground ambulance, fire officials said.
The victim’s injury was described as moderate, but no further details were available.
