Timothy Corlew
Family, friends and Riverside County Sheriff’s colleagues gathered in Norco Tuesday for a candlelight vigil in memory of sheriff’s motor deputy Timothy Corlew who was killed in an on-duty collision in the early morning hours on January 8th on the 91 Freeway.
His was the third vehicular death of a Riverside County Sheriff’s deputy in less than 2 years, including one involving an officer off-duty. According to the CHP, evidence indicates Deputy Corlew was in the left-hand lane of the westbound 91, east of La Sierra, we he collided with the rear a stopped vehicle. He was transported to Riverside Community Hospital where he died.
Corlew, 40, joined the department in 2016 and graduated from motor school in early 2022.
