Bird Feeder

Garden stores are getting busier and that back section of Target is all BBQ and backyard fun. Everyone’s getting excited to revamp their backyard for the season and an interesting bird feeder makes a great addition. Add this cute unique feature to your garden and your guests will be sure to say “Oh, isn’t that just darling!” Besides, who said teatime can only be for humans?

What you need:

–        A teacup and matching saucer

–        A hot glue gun

–        A hot glue stick

–        At least 1 foot of jute rope

–        Scissors

How to make it:

Step 1: Lay the teacup on the saucer. Make sure the handle is up so it can be hung from a tree!

Step 2: Squeeze hot glue on the saucer where the teacup meets it. Press and hold for 10 seconds then let go.

Step 3: Repeat step 2 to make sure there are no weak spots in the adhesion.

Step 4: Measure out at least 12 inches of jute rope.

Step 5: Put the jute rope through the teacups handle and tie it to a sturdy branch.

Step 6; Knot the rope four times to the branch.

Step 7: Put birdseed into the cup and saucer. Focus the birdseed in the cup then even it out around the saucer to make it look like the birdseed is pouring out of the cup.

Step 8: You’re done!

Tip: Budget friendly teacups and saucers can be found at thrift stores and bags of birdseed, especially bags to keep squirrels away, can be found at pet stores!
