Outlet Art

Get creative with new or old decor by sprucing up blank spaces in your home — like outlets! An outlet plug cover attached to the back of a framed piece of art allows you to hang it directly over an outlet, adding a pop of color and life to every little space. Say goodbye to lifeless, bland walls and hello to creativity and imagination!
What you need:
– A framed painting
– Hot glue
– A hot glue stick
– An outlet plug cover, the kind that fully covers the outlets and power sockets
How to make it:
Step 1: Plug in your hot glue gun.
Step 2: While the glue gun is warming up, plug the outlet plug cover into the outlet.
Step 3: Hold the painting over the outlet plug cover and position it to your liking, or until it completely covers the outlet.
Step 4: Take the painting down and remove the outlet plug cover. Do your best to remember where the outlet plug cover was positioned on the back of the painting!
Step 5: Use hot glue to attach the flat part of the outlet plug cover to the back of the painting.
Step 6: Place the outlet plug cover back into the desired spot on the outlet.
Step 7: Hold the painting in place for 10 seconds, then let go. Once the glue has cooled, plug it into the outlet!
Tip: You can find outlet plug covers at most hardware stores!
* Warning: Do not use this as an outlet. Do not do this over a wallplate that has the sockets exposed.
