Ghostly Candles

Add some spookiness to your mantel, shelf or any surface that needs a little Halloween spirit with these cute little candle ghosts! Take candlesticks, bend them into the shape you want, and watch your surface transform into a hauntingly eerie display.
What you need:
– White candlesticks
– A black Sharpie
– Candlestick holders
– A container or bowl large enough to submerge the candlesticks
– A pot or kettle
– Tongs
How to make it:
Step 1: Place the candlesticks in the bowl or square container.
Step 2: Boil water in a kettle or on the stove, then carefully pour it into the bowl or container.
Step 3: Let the candlesticks sit in the hot water for about 30 minutes.
Step 4: Using tongs, carefully remove each candlestick from the water. The water may still be hot, so be careful! Gently try to bend the candlesticks. If they don’t bend easily, stop and place them back in the hot water for a little longer.
Step 5: Once the candlesticks are soft enough to bend, gently shape them until they have the look you want.
Step 6: Blot the candlesticks dry with a paper towel.
Step 7: Using a black Sharpie, draw a little ghost face on each candlestick with two circular eyes and an oval mouth.
Step 8: Place the candlestick in its holder and enjoy your spooky creation!
Tip: Use a bud vase instead of a candlestick holder to create a uniquely spooky look!
Safety note: Do not light the ghost candles! Also, this how-to was made using candlesticks from Dollar Tree, which can be prone to cracking and breaking. While it is possible to make this project work with them, higher-quality wax candlesticks may be easier to bend and may not need as much time submerged in hot water.
