Arrabiata Sauce
By Connor Forbes
I have a couple of confessions to make. Last night I was feeling very lazy and didn’t really want to cook. But I also hate to order out. I feel like restaurant food has really exploded in prices the last couple years and it is hard to feed my family for under $50. That isn’t sustainable so I really push myself to cook as much as possible. Even when I don’t really feel like it and am feeling like I am dragging. So, in that state of mind, I was really having trouble deciding on what to make. I decided to do something I have never done before. I asked ChatGPT what I should make for dinner. I started by asking it “what is a good Wednesday night dinner.” It spit out 10 options, none of which were that easy. So, I said, “can you refine that to easy and quick recipes.” 10 more options, including a couple of pasta dishes. Then I said, “only easy pasta recipes.” And of the 10 it suggested arrabiata. Now, arrabiata is one of my favorite dishes from an Italian restaurant we used to frequent when I was a kid, and it turns out it is incredibly easy to make.
This is my own recipe, as ChatGPT didn’t give measurements, and I did add to it. But this is most definitely an Artificial Intelligence inspired meal. I guess it really is the future. And if you are having trouble thinking of what to cook, give www.zapinin.com/connor-cooks a look for quick and easy meal ideas, but you can also use ChatGPT or any other AI chatbot. I’m glad I did. This meal was delicious and took as long as it takes to cook pasta.
