MENIFEE – Applauded for the quality of its food offerings and support for community organizations, Barons Market is being recognized by the City of Menifee’s “Building Better Businesses” (B3) program.

The small family-owned chain opened for business in the city in 2019, introducing a niche food market specializing in organic, natural, specialty, and locally sourced products.

Underscoring its sensitivity to local desires, Baron’s holds a food panel meeting with staff and managers every Wednesday to deliberate which items will be stocked in its 9 locations in Southwest Riverside and San Diego counties. Products are evaluated by various categories such as taste, quality, ingredients, and value.

The markets feature a fresh salad bar, and soup and hot foods bars, designed to promote a quick and easy 10-minute shopping experience.

The B3 business spotlight is a feature of Menifee’s Economic Development Department, which recognizes local businesses that are nominated by community members. Its purpose is to create awareness for the variety of local businesses and their contributions to the Menifee community.

In its recognition of Baron’s community contributions, the city cited its support of local schools such as Callie Kirkpatrick Elementary School, Evans Ranch Elementary School, and Santa Rosa Academy. Additionally, they have worked with local organizations including Lake Menifee Women’s Club, Menifee Valley Little League, Menifee Valley Community Cupboard, Animal Town Sanctuary, and Mrs. B’s Table.

“Barons Market has become an essential part of the Menifee community and has set itself apart by providing quality and healthy products while also supporting our local schools and non-profits,” said District 3 Councilmember Lesa Sobek.

With its recognition, Baron’s was presented a short promotion video  produced by the Economic Development Department. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWew676sXGA.
