Corona Business Grants
With funding from the American Rescue Plan Act, approved by congress in response to COVID-19, the City of Corona is offering grants for small entrepreneurs and businesses located within the city limits.
Two options are available. Five-thousand dollar
grants for commercial and home-based operations with four or fewer employees. And secondly, $10-thousand grants for commercial operations employing five to twenty-five workers.
To be considered, businesses need to meet the certain criteria:
- Physical Location: The business must be physically located within the City of Corona limits.
- Profitable Operations: The applicant must be a for-profit business entity.
- Established Presence: The business must have been in operation as of January 1, 2022.
- Compliance: Applicants must be up-to-date on all required licenses and permits.
- COVID-19 Impact: Businesses should be able to demonstrate a tangible impact from the ongoing COVID-19 situation.
- Awards based on eligible, reimbursable expenses: Expenses such as employee payroll, commercial rent/mortgage, inventory, utilities, etc.
Administered by Charitable Ventures, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, the application period is now open until next Friday, December 8th at 5 pm. The grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis, with a limited amount available.
