Big Rig Overturns

CORONA (CNS) – A tractor-trailer overturned Wednesday on the Riverside (91) Freeway at the western edge of Corona, damaging a car and prompting the closure of fast-track lanes.

The crash was reported at 11:45 a.m. on the westbound 91 near Green River Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The agency said the big rig went over during a collision with a Tesla, though no other details were immediately available.

The trucker was not injured, nor was the driver of the sedan.

CHP officers shut down all fast-track lanes at the location, as well as the fast lane on the main line portion of the westbound 91.

A Sigalert was issued about noon because of the lane closures and ensuing traffic jam.

As of 1 p.m., officers were still working to remove the rig. Lane closures were expected to be lifted around 2 p.m.
