The fair encouraged attendee participation, hosting a variety of exhibits including niche collections of rocks, salt and pepper shakers, teacups, marbles, and the like.

Adults and juniors participated in homecraft competitions, including baking, jam-making, and crocheting, while others showed off personal talents in the studio arts, photography, and more.

Perris historian Katie Keyes helped organize and set up the inside portion of the event, sharing, “It helps teach these kids a sense of pride and responsibility.”

Southern California Fair and Events organized the Lake Perris event to promote agricultural services, entertainment, and recreational activities for people of all ages in the county. The tent by the old schoolhouse on the fairgrounds housed booths offering home-grown and cultivated honey, spices, and potted flowers.

The fair promoted a farmer’s daughter scholarship program where girls ages 16-18 compete in far-flung skills, including sewing, tractor driving, and other agricultural activities.

The date of next year’s SoCal Fair is yet to be determined. To learn more about volunteering and other events, contact info@socalfair.com or call (951)657-4221.
