DIY Stamped Gift Wrap

By Mia Rotell and Lauren Rotell

“I don’t know … socks and underwear,” is the answer my dad gives me when I ask what he wants for a holiday — Christmas, birthdays, Father’s Day, etc. Eventually, I stopped asking and started giving him exactly what he wanted — but wrapped in a cute way! I can’t help you with what to get your dad, but this DIY gift wrap is a fun, creative way to present whatever you bought out of desperation.

What you need:

–       A roll of brown craft paper or a solid-color paper gift bag

–       At least one rubber stamp

–       An ink pad (black works best)

–       A paper plate

How to make it:

Step 1: Roll out the craft paper or lay the gift bag on a floor or table.

Step 2: Put the stamp(s) and ink pad on a paper plate.

Step 3: Take the lid off the ink pad and press the stamp firmly and evenly onto the ink pad.

Step 4: Press the stamp in the desired place on your bag or craft paper.

Step 5: Repeat Steps 3 and 4 in different spots on the gift wrap.

Step 6: You’re done once you have your desired look!

Tip: If you can’t find craft paper at the store, disassemble the bottom of a paper grocery bag and use the inside as wrapping paper! You can use more than one type of stamp to give your design depth. Remember, this isn’t supposed to look perfect, so embrace any little happy accidents!
