Education Recruitment Fair

RIVERSIDE (CNS) – People with backgrounds in education, or who are motivated to become teachers, are encouraged to attend the “2024 Countywide Education Recruitment Fair,” slated for Saturday in downtown Riverside, according to the Riverside County Office of Education.

The free career fair will be from 9 a.m. to noon, with multiple recruiters from school districts throughout the Inland Empire on hand at the Office of Education’s Conference Center, 4280 Brockton Ave.

“Pursuing a career in the public education system is more than just a job with great benefits, competitive pay and a strong retirement system,” county Superintendent of Schools Edwin Gomez said. “We want to connect professionals who have a passion for serving students with opportunities to shape the future success of the Inland Empire — one student at a time.”

In addition to recruiters from Riverside County schools, there will be personnel from districts in neighboring San Bernardino County, according to officials.

Districts are seeking individuals with credentials in secondary single subjects, special education, language pathology, deaf and visually impaired educational specialties, career technical education and Head Start.

Along with classroom positions, recruiters are also seeking to fill accounting, clerical, custodial, food service and information technology slots.

Additionally, people interested in internships with pathways to future educational positions will be welcome, along with those who don’t have credentials but have aspirations to be educators, instructional assistants and technical aides.
