UCR Biohazard Laboratory

RIVERSIDE (CNS) – The Riverside Fire Department’s hazardous materials team responded Friday to a strange odor on the University of California, Riverside campus.

The report was made around 11:10 a.m. Friday in a biohazard laboratory at 900 University Ave.

The reporting party told firefighters that there was a suspicious odor coming from a portion of the lab’s third floor.

The building was placed on lockdown as the haz-mat team attempted to determine the cause of the odor.
