RIVERSIDE (CNS) – At least one person was taken to a hospital after a shooting on the eastbound Riverside (91) Freeway in Riverside Thursday.

Officers responded to the shooting scene shortly after 5:30 p.m. regarding shots fired, with Riverside Fire Department paramedics taking a victim to a hospital.

KTLA reported that authorities located a vehicle with at least two of its windows shot and a bullet hole through the back passenger door, citing information from the video news outlet OnScene.TV.

It was unclear what prompted the shooting, and a sigalert was issued for the eastbound Riverside Freeway between Arlington Avenue and Spruce Street.
