Matcha Chia Seed Pudding

When you think about warriors, you’d think they’d stick to only eating meat.
But when we’re talking about Aztec warriors one of their primary energy sources was chia seeds.
Why? Because this humble little seed is actually packed with energy.
In fact, the word “chia” means “strength” in Mayan. And when you eat it, it gives you so much energy and endurance.
If we look at the science behind chia seeds, they’re full of fiber, antioxidants, and healthy omega-3s.
So, if you wanna wake up strong and full of energy, give these little guys a try.
Here’s a simple recipe to get you started…
Matcha Chia Seed Pudding
Ingredients (Serves 4):
• 2 cups unsweetened soy, oat, or almond milk
• 2 Tablespoons agave nectar or maple syrup
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder
• 6 Tablespoons chia seeds
• 2 cups fresh fruit
1. Do this the night before: Whisk the milk, agave or syrup, vanilla extract, matcha and chia in a bowl. Wait 5 minutes and stir. Then 5 minutes later, stir again.
2. Let the mixture sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour, or overnight. Once you take it out of the fridge, stir pudding briefly to break up any clumps.
3. To serve, top with fresh fruit. The pudding will keep in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
