Third Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting in Perris

PERRIS (CNS) – A 21-year-old Hemet woman was arrested Wednesday in connection with the fatal shooting of a 27-year-old man in Perris, the third suspect arrested in the case.

The booking charges for Kassandra Lepe were not available.

Miguel Villegas, 30, and Andrik Avalos-Villasenor, 20, both of Hemet, were arrested Sunday afternoon on suspicion of murder.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriffs Department’s Perris Station responded at 11:02 p.m. Saturday to a residence in the 300 block of West Seventh Street regarding gunshots heard in the area, Sgt. Ed Baeza said. Upon arrival, they found Rafael Morris of Perris dead from a gunshot wound.

Background information on the suspects was unavailable. The investigation into the killing remains active.
