Glass ʻRoom

As July turns into August, we could all probably use a little pick-me-up for our outdoor spaces. Enter glass mushrooms — a fun way to add color and personality to your backyard without breaking the bank or spending a ridiculous amount of time. Place them in a flower bed or at the base of a tree, and watch them come to life.
What you need:
– A skinny glass vase
– A small glass bowl
– A hot glue gun
– A hot glue stick
How to make it:
Step 1: Plug in the hot glue gun.
Step 2: Turn the bowl upside down and place it on top of the opening of the vase.
Step 3: Hot-glue around the opening of the vase and press the bowl onto the glue.
Step 4: Let it sit for a few minutes.
Step 5: Once the glue is dry, it’s done!
Tip: If you want your glass mushrooms to light up at night, place a battery-operated string of lights inside the vase, with the battery pack hanging out the back. Hot-glue around the opening of the vase, but leave a gap where the wire for the lights comes out.
